Mini replicas of Gyza pyramids in Egypt mini park, Hurghada

Mini Egypt Park in Hurghada might sound like a tourist trap, and you’re absolutely right to think that way. It’s not present in any of the touristy brochures, and few guides will actually tell you about it.

If you’re wondering why, well, it’s probably that the place was never properly marketed and is in a sort of degraded state now – at least that’s how it was when we visited.

To start off, you should know we visited it in Summer 2023. We were let down since the minute we walked inside. But let’s take it step by step.

The price was ridiculously high

It cost us about 30 EUR per person to get inside. We found it extremely pricy, considering that Hurghada Grand Aquarium is something much more spectacular and it costs about the same to visit.

We paid the ticket at the location, so there was no transportation involved in the ticket cost. We went to visit it like tourists on their own

Why did I mention that the price was ridiculously high? Well, because when we went inside the park, it looked deserted.The price, in my opinion, would have been justified if the park was well kept. Instead, we found it was lacking most of the things you would enjoy and make you want more.

How is Mini Egypt Park Inside

Well, Mini Egypt Park in Hurghada was small and in a degraded state.

It might look fun in the promotional youtube videos, but in reality, this place looks like a town from the western movies.

First of all, we visited in Summer, and maybe it was our poor judgement that made us want to see it around 2 p.m.It was extremely hot outside, but luckily we had hats on, a bottle of water and sunglasses.

You would expect it to have sitting ares inside, maybe some shops to buy souvenirs or just a soda with ice – but there was nothing.

Inside the park there once was a replica of the Nile, but that was all drained out. You would have been able to take a cruise on this mini- Nile and I bet it would have been great.

I imagined what it would have been like if the park was well kept: it would have been an immense pleasure to roam it.

Instead, we walked past all of the monuments in haste, stopped to read the inscriptions and moved along.

Pros:

  • it’s a cultural experience, where you can see miniatures of every landmark in Egypt;
  • the replicas are perfectly made, taking in concern the true scale of the original.

Cons:

  • some of the replicas are degraded;
  • nowhere to get a drink or eat, so come prepared;
  • entrance fee is high
  • its’ in Makadi Bay, which is around 20Km from Hurghada
